The MLB Baltimore O’s based in Baltimore, Maryland are a member of the Eastern Division of the Major League Baseball’s American League. Their name “Orioles” refers to Maryland’s official state bird and so their fans nicknamed them as “The Birds”. The Baltimore Orioles were formerly known as the Milwaukee Brewers between 1894-1901 and later went by the name St. Louis Browns between 1902-1953.
