In 1937, Cincinnati Bengals was formed as a member of the AFL but when the WWII started on 1941, the Bengals folded along with the AFL. Twenty six years later in 1967 Cincinnati landed an expansion franchise in the modern-era AFL and in 1970 joined the merger with the NFL. They made it to 2 Super Bowl XVI in 1982 and Super Bowl XXIII in 1989 but lost both against the San Francisco 49ers. They have 6 Divisional titles and 8 playoff appearances. The modern day Bengals is known for its flamboyant wide receiver, Ocho Cinco also known as Chad Johnson. The team’s jersey colors are Black, Orange & White and play/headquartered in Paul Brown Stadium Cincinnati, Ohio.
