The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball team from Texas representing the Dallas-Ft.Worth metropolitan area. The team is a member of the Western Division of the Major League Baseball. The “Rangers” name originates from the famous law enforcement agency by the same name. They were formely named as the Washington Senators from 1961-1971 and became the Texas Rangers in 1972 upto the present. Since 1994, the team’s ballpark is at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. On November 1, 2023, the Rangers won the World Series after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games, achieving their first World Series championship in franchise history.
