The St. Louis Cardinals also known as the as the Cards, the Redbirds and the Birds is one of the respected teams of the Major League Baseball based in St. Louis, Missouri. The Cardinals is holding 12 Central Division titles and three East Divison titles. They have also won a National League record eleven World Series championships, second only to the New York Yankees (who have 26) in Major League Baseball. The Cardinals are the oldest professional sports franchise west of the Mississippi. The team began play in the current Busch Stadium in 2006, becoming the first team since 1923 (NYY) to win the World Series in their first season in a new ballpark. The Cardinals have a strong rivalry with the Chicago Cubs that began with the 1885 World Series. The Red Birds are using the colors grey, white and red featuring the “birds on the bat” logo for their uniform.
