The MLB Chicago Cubs have won 2 consecutive World Series titles in 1907 & 1908 both against the Detroit Tigers. And with players like Alfonso Soriano, Geovany Soto & Kosuke Fukudome, it is very easy to see why the MLB Chicago Cubs have won their 1st World Series title again in 100 years. The Cubbies team is based in Chicago, Illinois. Also the MLB Cubs are members and currently the three-time defending champions of the Central Division of Major League Baseball’s National League. The Chicago Cubs was also nicknamed “The North Siders” because of their home ballpark since 1916, the Wrigley Field is located at the Northern part of Chicago and also often called “The Boys in Blue” for having the Blue, Red & White as the team uniforms primary colors.
