In 1966, Joe Robbie founded the Miami Dolphins and began playing in the American Football League as an expansion team in the same year. The Fins are the oldest major-league professional sports franchise in the state of Florida and was coached by Don Shula (1970-1995) who is said to be the most successful head coach in professional football history. The Dolphins had 2 Super Bowl Championship titles – SB VII in 1973, defeated the Washington Redskins 14-7 and SB VIII in 1974, against the Minnesota Vikings 24-7. The team’s jersey colors are Green, Blue, Orange & White and play in Land Shark Stadium Miami Gardens, Florida.
